Parking Enforcement

July 28, 2007 | Leave a Comment

Parking in the big city will always be an issue and where there are laws, you need enforcement. Sometime around 2020, parking enforcement crews are issued firearms after several ‘incidents’, making this new breed of parking enforcement officers a far cry from the meter maids of years gone by. I’ve added my Sci-fi Control Panel model for Vue to the product section as a freebie. It’s a pretty basic little prop, but these are the kind of detail items that I’ve always felt take a scene from pretty cool to freakin’ awesome. Click here to check it out and download the model.

Station 25

July 25, 2007 | Leave a Comment

2037, somewhere in the South Pacific sits NGE Station 25 - a completely self-contained natural gas extraction and processing facility. Sitting on the edge of Pili Lani crater, Station 25 rises a full 178.5-feet above sea level with the better part of the structure residing 800-feet below the surface. Powered by the very resource that the facility is designed to extract and process, Station 25 has a full-time, live-in crew of 195 and features water desalination, power generation, recreation facilities and comprehensive recycling systems. Many similar facilities have come to dot the world’s surface after the last of the petroleum reserves dried up in 2020 and man began digging deeper for alternative (and available) energy sources. The natural gas that is extracted and processed at Station 25 is pumped back to the mainland fuel docks over a 3,000 mile pipeline that runs along the sea floor. The Courier

July 20, 2007 | Leave a Comment

With her best friend on point and her weapon of choice at the ready, the courier prepares to make her way down the narrow passage into the city. The Courier is a scene from some time in the not too distant future. The seas have risen, the levees have failed and dry land is nothing but a memory. As the water went higher, so too did the cities. Built on the decrepit backs of 20th century architecture, the new cities are a complex maze of water processing facilities, natural gas fired power plants and high-density domiciles. While a small segment of the population has taken to the skies in grav-drive vehicles and live in palatial condos in the clouds, the vast majority live at sea level where they are constantly reminded that everything runs down hill.Traveling the heavily polluted waterways from city to city, couriers make deliveries in some of the most dangerous of zones imaginable. They don’t care what the cargo is, who wants it delivered or who it gets delivered to. They get their fees paid up front and since they guarantee delivery at any cost, they are paid handsomely for their services.

Tactical Squad Alpha: Bahiyy al Din’s Secret

July 16, 2007 | Leave a Comment

After gaining entrance to terror leader Bahiyy al Din’s purported hideout, Tactical Squad Alpha cleared the building, but didn’t exactly come up empty handed. A secondary sweep turned up a hidden passageway leading to an extensive underground complex. Clearing floors 1-19 of the secret, underground facility without a single encounter, the team descended to level 20. While the complex seemed to be fully operational, it appeared to have been recently vacated with computers up and running, desk lamps lit and numerous biological experiments in various states of completion. As one team member broke off to clear a large room at the back of the laboratory floor, multiple humanoid creatures emerged from the darkness and were on him before he could even react. They were like great white sharks on two legs and seemed to have one agenda - to kill. Was this Bahiyy al Din’s new secret weapon? Were there more of them or …? Click the image for a larger version.

Tactical Squad Alpha: Extraction of Bahiyy al Din

July 14, 2007 | Leave a Comment

When the local police got a tip that known terror leader, Bahiyy al Din, had surfaced stateside and was working out of an old warehouse down by the docks, the locals shut down the area and called in Tactical Squad Alpha, a black ops police unit. When the baddest of the bad are hold up in some of the worst parts of the city, Tactical Squad Alpha is the unit they call in. Operating under a government sanctioned any means unnecessary mandate, this unit answers to no one and always gets their man - dead or alive. And sometimes somewhere in between. Renderosity Featured Artist

July 12, 2007 | Leave a Comment

I had noticed a huge spike in comments and favorited images at my Renderosity gallery and my site traffic on this end went through the roof over night. Upon reading the Rendo email, I apparently made their Art Charts last week and as such, was chosen as a featured artist in their weekly email. Cool! I guess more than just a few people are on that list ;)

Urban Warehouse: A Complete Environment for Vue

July 8, 2007 | Leave a Comment

I’m happy to announce the release of a new, updated version of my Urban Warehouse facade for Vue users. This new version includes updates and fixes to all of the high-res textures, some additional details to the main scene and an all new perimeter wall/roof/interior floor component. While the main facade is fully detailed, the new addition is only a basic shell that has been included for added convenience in lighting and scene building. Urban Warehouse is greatly improved, but is still the same low price. For previous buyers of this product, drop me a line and I’ll reset your DL so that you can get the latest version ;) Click here to head to the product page>
