Hello? Is anybody there?

Dispatched to the remote village of Syrtis Minor on Deimos 6 to rendezvous with a private contractor for a mining equipment haul, she makes ground at the predetermined coordinates at 2300 hours. As her ship blows off spent atmosphere, she drops the stairs and steps out onto the landing dock expecting to meet her contact. She had been to the village twice before and it had never been this dark. It was dead silent and there wasn’t a soul in sight, though she sensed that she was being watched. Then she heard it. Something was moving, lurking in the shadows near the edge of the landing dock. She then got that creepy feeling. The chill that runs the length of your spine that says something just isn’t right. As she began casually backing towards the stairs, she called into the darkness, “Hello? Is anybody there?” Click the image to view the larger, complete image.

The New Site is Up. Again.

So if you’re reading this and you’re a past visitor, you’ve probably realized that I’ve launched the new site. If this is your first time dropping by, trust me when I say that this is an improvement. For the previous build I enlisted the semantic publishing platform, WordPress, to make it all come together. Since I was never quite able to get the WordPress build to function exactly as I wanted it to, I almost immediately began working on a custom build. At the beginning of the month my database corrupted after moving sites between servers and instead of repairing the old site, I accelerated development of the new one. So short story long, I’m back up and running and quite happy with the results, but would appreciate any emails from people should they come across any bugs, errors or omissions.

The Outpost at Aspera Vallaris is a remote, planetary relay station located in the sub-alpine mountains of the otherwise uninhabited planet of Sethos II. The top-secret outpost is an integral part of the galactic security network as it passes vital data from deep-space satellites and outer ring sensors. Here we get a rare glimpse of a supply ship as it comes in for landing after it’s long, interplanetary journey hauling the outpost’s next six-months of supplies. Sometimes it’s better to fill your bounty with bullets than let them get away. You take a hit bringing them in dead, but you still get paid and that after all is the name of the game… Click the cropped preview above to view the full image.
