I got my copy of Chipp Walters’ Create 3D like a Superhero this week and lets just say you can color me impressed. While much of this 120-page graphic novel-style was stuff I had a handle on, there was quite a bit that was news to me and the way Chipp presents it, it’s overall just a great read. Packed with real world examples of Vue techniques from basic to advanced, Create 3D like a Superhero is the single best book on e-on software’s Vue that I’ve ever read and to make it even cooler, it even comes with a full version of Vue Pioneer SE. Yeah, that’s right – this is really like a ‘get off your ass and start making cool stuff with Vue’ starter kit that includes the software, the knowledge and the kind of step by step instruction you need to be successful in Vue. Issue #11 of 3D Artist Magazine is out and features a step-by-step article by yours truly on the making of Laguna. While I haven’t seen it yet myself, the issue is on newsstands in the UK/EU now and should be stateside before too long (I think we’re about a month behind).
