Issue #11 of 3D Artist Magazine is out and features a step-by-step article by yours truly on the making of Laguna. While I haven’t seen it yet myself, the issue is on newsstands in the UK/EU now and should be stateside before too long (I think we’re about a month behind). Oh, and if anyone wants to send me an early preview, I’d love to see it, so drop me a line!

My Motorcade 9/11 painting for Deth Killers 2000 over the top new line can be spotted in a Q&A with Deth Killers Greg Minnig on According to Hoyle, the men’s style blog with to end all men’s style blogs:
“Hoyle: Can you give According to Hoyle readers any special insight into what is coming down the road with your brand?”
“Minnig: We’re developing a video game based on some fictional and non-fictional aspects of our brand and lifestyle. I can’t give too much away here but basically it’s the whole reason we made DES KIRAZ, our latest line of t-shirts. Because we REALLY wanted to make a video game, but we don’t know how to make video games, we only know how to make clothes, so we made the best game on a t-shirt we possibly could…” Check it out»

I got word that Deth Killers 2000 got some play in Marc Ecko’s Complex Magazine and while Motorcade 9/11 isn’t printed yet, a few of the other cool shirts are and can be seen in the piece and are well worth a look. Why do people always spell Dietz as Deitz, anyway?

Ten Shades of Amazing: It’s Menswear Coverage

My Motorcade 9/11 design for Deth Killers 2000 is featured in It’s Menswear, the online style magazine with much more more style and wit than me:
“I.C.R.V.D.K.O.B, meanwhile, have reinvented themselves as perhaps the ultimate bad/good taste label, Deth Killers 2000. They’re bringing out the TEN SHADES OF AMAZING t-shirts below throughout the year, available from their site. Each one will drop across the months in limited batches of 2000 and has been produced by a sci-fi/fantasy artist based around the designer’s narratives about some kind of ‘nebulous’ apocalyptic event, where bike gangs fight over a ruined world or something. BASICALLY TIP-TOP, but rather confusing too as their long and convulted (again very retro) backstory talks up a fake PS3/DS game, sci fi novel, and lots of other slightly self-indulgent words.” Check it out»

Renderosity Artist of the Month

Needless to say I was quite surprised when I found out that I was chosen as November’s artist of the month over at Renderosity.com, so a big thank you to all who voted for me - I sincerely appreciate it.
