Dock 291

Throughout the industrial super-structures that make up the urban skyline of the future, small landing docks that allow access to facility service locations can be found on several levels. With a deck designed to receive light to mid-weight craft, these docks are the quickest point of access to the behind the scenes areas of the massive commercial/residential complexes allowing freight, supplies and personnel to be delivered in close proximity to their final destination. Dock 291 is an example of one of these access points and features a single point of entry to the structure off of the main deck surface and a set of fuel tanks for convenient refueling of service vehicles on site. The structure’s design is versatile enough that it could easily be used as a ground level base, off-world research facility or whatever else you can dream up, so there is no limit to how it can be utilized.
This model includes a selection of cargo containers, sliding security doors, a refueling station and a simple interior corridor for shots where the doors might be open. Dock 291 also includes 58 realistic, high-resolution materials and utilizes high-detail, lightweight design at less than 82k polys for the entire structure. It’s constructed of three core modules for easy removal of sections that are out of the camera’s view - no need to have the entire structure loaded when you are just rendering a single angle. The basic structure measures 60 ft. across, 40 ft. deep and 36 ft. high, so there is ample of room for figures, vehicles and props. Previews are unretouched and rendered using Global Radiosity.
