Landing Pad 1
A portable landing pad for light to medium weight spacecraft, often utilized by planetary mining companies in swampy or rough terrain where landing a spacecraft on the surface might result in damage or render the vehicle immobile. The FibreLight concrete over carbon construction allows for easy surface placement and removal by a medium-class lift vehicle, while still being able to support landing craft with a full payload.Designed over a ‘floating’ base for use in extreme conditions ranging from shallow, marshes to arctic tundras and rocky, desert moons, Landing Pad 1 is a versatile asset to any planetary excavation team. With it’s onboard Dilithium B cells, electric over hydraulic leveling and ramp elevation systems, Landing Pad 1 is easily adjustable to any terrain to get people and equipment to and from the surface. Once setup, Landing Pad 1’s surface lamps come to life to add some light to the landing area and integrated, countersunk side markers to guide incoming vessels in from the dark while simultaneously alerting ground vehicles to the structure’s presence.
This model was created in Vue 6 Infinite and is provided as a Vue object (.vob) file. The model was tested in all versions of Vue 6 (Easel, Esprit, Pro Studio, Infinite and xStream).
